Elusive Identity: Thinking Towards a Shared Culture in Israel, PDF Position Paper
Each Tuesday for the last few months, I volunteered as an Arab youth educator in Sha'ab, an Arab village in the Lower Galilee, approximately 45 minutes by car from the University of Haifa. The weekly program, called "Neighbors," is spearheaded by Makom Bagalil (A Place in the Galilee), a small, non-governmental organization based in Shorashim, a Jewish village of 1,000 inhabitants directly opposite Sha'ab.
